Partners take part in virtual Socio-Cultural Benefits of NNBF Forum

The Science + Resilience Institute of Jamaica Bay hosted a virtual forum on February 16, 2024, entitled Socio-Cultural Benefits of NNBF (Natural and Nature-Based Features). Three speakers participated, including Dr. Don Nelson from the University of Georgia and Dr. Scott Hemmerling from The Water Institute, both N-EWN partners.

This forum was the third in a series of talks following a workshop that was held in June of 2023. The workshop was used to identify knowledge gaps in NNBF and shoreline management, and the subsequent forums discussed regulatory impediments, measuring success, and how to move forward with NNBF.
