For Day 2 of Anchor QEA’s media takeover, we’re excited to share our partnership with UGA’s Institute for Resilient Infrastructure Systems at WODCON XXIV for the Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) Course on June 23, 2025, in San Diego. Join Anchor QEA’s Dr. Ram Mohan and collaborators, including Dr. Todd Bridges, as we explore effective NBS design, implementation, and success stories. This course presents a series of in-depth case studies on how to design, construct, and monitor beneficial use (BU) and NBS projects. Ram and Todd team up again to lead the Beneficial Use 2100 Panel on June 27.
We are also teaming up with the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) and Dr. Don Hayes to offer a Sustainable Sediment Management Short Course, featuring our own Walt Dinicola. This course supports USACE’s “70 by 30” initiative, aiming for 70% BU of dredged material by 2030, by teaching how to value environmental and economic benefits of sediment reuse.
NBS and BU promote sustainable, cost-effective, and resilient approaches to managing dredged material while enhancing communities and ecosystems.
