Upcoming N-EWN Knowledge Series: RES on the Klamath River

Up next in the takeover, we turn to RES’ restoration of the Lower Klamath Project, following the removal of four hydropower dams and the reopening of more than 400 miles of anadromous fish habitat.

Resource Environmental Solutions was selected to lead the ambitious effort of restoring nearly four miles of priority tributary streams and 2,200 acres of formerly inundated lands to ensure the project meets long-term ecological and biological performance goals.

Working in partnership with tribal nations, agencies, and scientists, the team is advancing reforestation, wetland reestablishment, and sediment stabilization efforts that support ecosystem recovery and the return of salmon.

Want to learn more? Sign up for our Knowledge Series on July 17, where RES will share progress from the past two years, lessons learned, and how this unprecedented effort is shaping the future of river restoration.
