Northrop Grumman Partnership: Driving Innovation for Environmental Conservation

Stantec, a global leader in environmental conservation, has partnered with Northrop Grumman, renowned for aerospace and defense technology, to tackle urgent conservation challenges with innovative tech and expertise. Stantec brings over 30 years of experience in sustainable, nature-based solutions and a deep understanding of emerging conservation needs. Northrop Grumman’s Technology Conservation (T4C) program advances defense innovations for protecting the planet and enables strategic partnerships and employee opportunities.

This collaboration targets four critical conservation needs:

1. Wildland Firefighting & Monitoring: By combining Stantec’s remote sensing/data analysis with Northrop Grumman’s sensor and VR technologies, the partnership aims to advance wildfire detection and response.

2. Marine Science: Northrop Grumman’s marine sensor expertise will enhance Stantec’s ability to monitor and protect marine ecosystems and species.

3. Historic & Cultural Preservation: Advanced scanning and digital reconstruction tools will support Stantec in documenting and preserving historic sites.

4. Biodiversity & Earth Sciences: Multimodal sensing and analytics will improve monitoring of critical species and habitats, supporting strategies for recovery and protection.
