Cross-Cutting N-EWN Research Seminar

Recently, researchers from across the Network for Engineering With Nature met for our monthly Research Seminar, which provides opportunities for members from all organizations to share ideas and stay up-to-date on the latest research in the field. At our most recent meeting we had 45 participants from Network partners ranging from the New York City Mayor’s Office of Climate Resiliency to the Georgia Department of Natural Resources (as well as members from the University of Georgia and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers).

Not only did the meeting span organizations, it also cross-cut disciplines, research stages, and the participants involved ranged from graduate students to seasoned veterans in the field. Research was presented and discussed at all stages of work, from the planning process on through publication, allowing for members to get and give feedback as they work to incorporate the latest lines of thinking in Engineering With Nature.

We look forward to more of these meetings as we continue to draw on the breadth of experience and expertise available in the Network for Engineering With Nature!
